Artist Statement
Are humans merely receptacles for external signals? Is your current perception real? And what defines real? In such an environment, how do we define ourselves? My work is to question the status quo and encourage individuals to explore the power of our consciousness. I believe in how synesthetic abstract art can affect people consciously and make a great change by themselves. Fascinated by the energy hidden in our minds that we have long forgotten, I want to explore consciousness itself philosophically and let what I learned find its way into my artwork.
Through my work, I want to try to understand the connections between our consciousness, our senses, and the physical environment, how they affect each other, how we can turn these connections in the way we want. The dissemination that synesthetic art creation can carry and the exploration of consciousness through artistic creation. The core of my artistic work is to criticize materialism and explore the philosophical ideas that synesthetic ideology in abstract art can carry, to transcend the invisible barrier in our minds, awaken people to draw energy from the inner spirit and get rid of limitations.
In each work, I experiment and reflect on artistic concepts and forms by absorbing insights from philosophy, physics, and visual research. Discovering audience reactions through the flowing interaction of art experiences leads to new observations and inspirations. A significant part of my work is experimental. By inviting the audience to interact, I hope the experiences can allow viewers to explore their spiritual world, provoke a more intrinsical understanding of the relationship with the world through abstract art, and touch upon our deepest thoughts, embrace the power of how spirit can lead us to.
